Parlor was founded by a team of veteran technologists from some of the world's leading technology companies. From day one, we've been committed to being thoughtful and proactive about data protection, quality, and integrity. That’s why we support everyone from hyper-growth startups to multi-billion dollar enterprise companies.
The Parlor Platform consists of two core components:
the Parlor Feedback Management System which is a web application that delivers content to customer applications, and
This latter integration is nearly identical in nature to platforms such as HubSpot, Drift, and Intercom. The core components can be used independently or together as part of a single Parlor subscription. Our data is stored in secure environments, completely managed by first-class cloud vendors like Amazon and Google.
Parlor's customers have complete control over what and how much information about their users is shared and stored in the Parlor web application. When setting up their Parlor account, customers can choose to send as much or as little user PII as they would like. Users can be entirely anonymous, can be identified only using a UID, or can be fully identified with properties such as name, email, company association, revenue association, contract details, etc. However, it is important to note that end users do NOT have accounts with Parlor. Parlor only receives user information from our customers that they would like stored in Parlor.
Parlor uses a combination of Google Cloud Services and Amazon Web Services (AWS) to host all of our data, applications, and static resources. Only Parlor engineers have access to these resourcess, via key-based SSH login. We update system software whenever updates are available and back-up everything continuously to ensure your valuable data stays safe. Our entire website and hosting servers are only accessible via encrypted connections – HTTPS using RSA 2048 bit keys. We back-up everything continuously to ensure your valuable data stays safe. Your private data will not be accessed by our team except as absolutely needed to resolve issues, and we can delete any necessary data as needed based on request.
In addition to the information provided here, you can review additional Parlor security, privacy, and complicance policies. We also have a standard set of terms and conditions which all Parlor customers agree to prior to beginning their Parlor subscription. Those are accessible below:
Parlor is compliant with common standards such as CCPA.
Parlor is in the process of securing SOC 2 Type II compliance and expect to receive that completed report in early 2021.
Parlor has never experienced a security breach, but we have a plan and process in place to respond and notify customers as soon as the incident has been contained.
Our data isolation policies distinguish between different levels of data sensitivity and treat the data accordingly.
Data is retained for the life of our customers' contracts. Parlor will perform data deletion for any customer upon request, no questions asked.
Parlor is committed to providing uninterrupted service. A synchronous standby replica of your data is maintained in a separate availability zone.
All Parlor services and data are protected with strong encryption in transit (using TLS 1.2 and above) and at rest (using AES-256). All systems are backed up every 24 hours.
All Parlor employees are trained on data privacy policies and best practices both initially and each subsequent year.
Parlor’s applications, as well as its infrastructure, undergo routine tests by independent companies. Parlor is built on Google Cloud Services and Amazon AWS, providing periodic internal tests and 24/7 monitoring of security-related events by a dedicated security team.
